Magaluf's House of Katmandu
The House of Katmandu is a very intriguing tourist spot, tourist being the keyword here. It’s visited almost exclusively by outsiders and is particularly favoured by families who want to keep their children entertained. Perhaps, this is because it’s a little away from Magaluf and is rather expensive. But for people who can spare the time and money, this unique Tibetan-style mansion is a good way to spend the day.
Once inside the upside down house you go through a series of rooms unveiling the story of its owner, Kilgore Goode. Mr. Goode, it turns out, spent his life looking for a mythical red gem. In his quest, he came across a motley crew of people like a monk, an enigmatic sherpa, a mermaid princess and even the abominable snowman. The tour takes you through many themed and enticingly named chambers where adventure awaits you at every corner. The House’s 4D Experience, which has 6 rides to choose from is the best part of the trip.
You will get maximum enjoyment from the experience if you have little children with you or possess their cynicism-free curiosity. Otherwise you might well end just cribbing about the time it takes to get there and the price you have to pay at the door.
