Snorkeling in Magaluf
Magaluf is teeming with a wide range of colourful marine life. From vibrant, miniscule schools of fish to Barracudas and Octopus, you can spot tons of exciting sea creatures in Magaluf. If you’re hard pressed for time and don’t wish to shell out too much cash, then snorkeling is the right choice for you. Just rent some snorkeling gear for a few hours and grab your swimsuits. They’re easily available on any popular beach and are usually rented out on an hourly basis.
Just floating on the surface will help you sight beautiful creatures and underwater landscapes. If you’re a skilled swimmer you can go into greater depths and swim as close to the floor as possible. That’s where all the shy fish are hiding. Depending on where your basecamp is you can choose your beach. But if you don’t mind taking a short detour then try getting near El Sech, Isla Porrassa, Punta Cautius, Dique Oest or Isla del Toro. These are great dive sites but also provide unbelievable sights for snorkeling lovers.
Before you rush out into the water, do not forget to buy a waterproof camera. They’re cheap but absolutely invaluable. They’re easily available on most beaches and will capture these magical memories for you.
