Magaluf Excursions: Hidropark
Both Magaluf and other parts of Majorca are filled with places that promise wholesome family fun. One of such places is Alcudia's Hidropark. It’s easily accessible from Magaluf and convenient to reach by car. You can spend a whole day here before returning to your hotel.
What separates Hidropark from the other amusement parks near Magaluf is that the rides here aren’t as intimidating and daunting. As a result, the park is ideal for little children and pre-teens. But to entertain people of all ages, it offers a plethora of rides, slides, pools and many miniature golf courses. After you have exhausted yourself by trying every slip and slide in sight, you can relax by boating in the lake or floating in the swimming pool. If you are planning to hit the Wavepool look at the schedule, the waves are very infrequent. So don’t waste time waiting for them, hop on a chute instead. Hidropark is most famous for its water-based activities, so bring your swimsuits along. But once or if, you have had enough of the water, then step into the Supergolf. The 54 hole course can be reached from both inside and outside the park. A putting green is also frequented by those who aren’t fans of walking around, drenched from head to toe.
Hidropark’s food court tends to get pretty crowded. Be prepared to lighten your wallet, as this park is more expensive than the others. Bringing your own food and drinks is a good idea.
The park is seasonal and operates only between May to October. Some hotels sell tickets to the park and this will help you jump the long lines at the entrance.
All the rides in the park are extremely safe and the eagle-eyed lifeguards do an exceptional job of looking after everyone. They change shifts every 30 minutes but, thankfully, are rarely seen in action.
